Terms & Conditions
1. General
These Terms & Conditions apply to all treatments, consultations, appointments, and services provided by The Therapy Barn.
By booking an appointment, you (“the Client”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Sports massage therapy is intended to support muscular recovery, mobility, relaxation, and general wellbeing. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment from a GP or healthcare professional.
2. Health & Medical Information
Clients must provide accurate and up-to-date health information before treatment.
You agree to inform the Therapist of:
* Any injuries, medical conditions, surgeries, or allergies
* Pregnancy
* Medications being taken
* Any changes to your health since your last appointment
The Therapist reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
If necessary, the Therapist may request written permission from your GP or healthcare provider before treatment can proceed.
3. Consent to Treatment
By attending your appointment, you consent to sports massage treatment.
You understand that:
* Results may vary between individuals
* Some soreness or discomfort may occur following treatment
* You may stop treatment at any time
Clients under 18 years old must have written consent from a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may be required to attend the appointment.
4. Appointments, Bookings & Deposits
Appointments are subject to availability.
A non-refundable deposit of £20 is required to secure all bookings. Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The £20 deposit will be deducted from the final treatment cost on the day of your appointment.
If you cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred to a future appointment.
Cancellations made within 24hours of the appointment time, or failure to attend, will result in a 100% charge of the treatment cost.
We recommend arriving on time for your appointment. Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time while the full appointment fee remains payable.
5. Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
* Late cancellations may result in loss of deposit
* Clients who fail to attend without notice (“no-shows”) will be charged the full treatment cost
* No shows & repeated cancellations will be blocked from the booking system
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of treatment unless agreed otherwise.
We accept:
* Cash
* Bank transfer
* Card payments
Prices are subject to change without notice.
Packages, gift vouchers, or prepaid sessions are non-refundable unless required by law.
7. Professional Boundaries
All treatments are strictly professional.
Any inappropriate behaviour, language, or conduct towards the Therapist will result in immediate termination of the session and refusal of future treatment. In cases where it may apply inappropriate behaviour will be reported to the police.
8. Hygiene & Safety
We maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness & run a no nut oil clinic.
Clients are expected & requested to:
* Attend appointments in a clean and hygienic condition
* Inform the Therapist of contagious illnesses, infections, or skin conditions before attending
We reserve the right to refuse treatment where there is a risk to health or safety.
9. Liability
While every care is taken during treatments, The Therapy Barn cannot guarantee specific results.
The Therapist shall not be liable for:
* Loss or damage to personal belongings
* Injuries resulting from withheld medical information
* Reactions occurring where medical conditions were not disclosed
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so under UK law.
10. Confidentiality & Data Protection
All client information is treated confidentially and stored securely in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.
Your personal information will never be shared with third parties without your consent unless required by law.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available upon request or via our website/social media pages.
